While researching wolves for a client a few years ago, I came across the Red Wolf - a vanishing species of small wolf native now only in North Carolina and known by it's rich red and gray coat. This animal is the most seriously endangered wolf, with only around 20 individuals left in the wild. Tragically, four more wolves have been killed on the roads in North Carolina in 2024 so far. I decided to sculpt this homage to a beautiful animal which may go extinct in my lifetime! A percentage of any orders I receive for this beautiful sculpture will be donated to endangeredwolfcenter.org to help sustain their operations and captive breeding program.
